Clave, 3 contra 2 y otros conceptos rítmicos del Caribe. 

¿Cuáles son los elementos rítmicos que se utilizan en nuestras músicas del Caribe que la llenan de vitalidad, energía y eso que llamamos sabor? Desde la concepción africana del “groove” toda nuestra música popular ha tenido unas particularidades en sus patrones rítmicos expresados no solo en sus tambores y percusiones sino en el bajo, piano, guitarras y hasta en los vientos. Las capas poli-rítmicas, los conceptos de acentuación de frase, los ostinatos y otros factores característicos serán presentados y analizados como el motor de nuestras músicas latinas.

Where is the flavor?
Clave, 3 against 2 and other rhythmic concepts of the Caribbean.

What are the rhythmic elements that are used in our Caribbean music that fill it with vitality, energy and what we call flavor? From the African conception of the "groove" all our popular music has had some peculiarities in its rhythmic patterns expressed not only in its drums and percussions but in the bass, piano, guitars and even in the winds. The poly-rhythmic layers, the concepts of sentence accentuation, ostinatos and other characteristic factors will be presented and analyzed as the engine of our Latin music.
